Part 4 - The Module Window
This tutorial will teach you how to upload Drum Kits back to your module, using
the Module Window on the right part of the screen.
TD Studio - Module Window
First of all, let me introduce you with the Module Window Toolbar.
On left part of the toolbar you have the Connect/Disconnect Button. pressing
this button will try to establish connection to your module, or disconnect and existing one. if any problem occur, it will be written in the Message Window that
exists on the lower part.
If everything goes well, the connection button will turn Green.
Connected Icon
Near the connection button, on the left, you have the Upload and Read buttons.
After connecting, both buttons should be enabled Upload and Read Icons

The Upload button is used to upload all the Drum Kits to your TD module.
The Drum Kit number will be the same as the one listed, so you can choose to
which slot each drum kit will go to.

If you want to Read Drum Kits Data from your module into TD Studio, you will have to do it from your module.
In your Module goto the MIDI option -> then choose Bulk and now select either
"All Drum Kits" or just a specific one.
The READ Button wont do that automaticlly for you. if you like to know why, then please read the explanation in the FAQ area on my site.

Next you have the Save Kits button. use this button to save all the Drum Kits on your list to a SYX File for backup.

Module List Combo Box

This Combo Box will allow you to define which Module should the
Module window support. for example, when you set TD-20, you will only be able to drag TD-20 Items. you can change this definition on any time.
The Default value that appear can be defined in the Configuration Screen.
The Clear button Clear List Icon is used to clean the Drum Kits list and start over.
Last but not least, you have the Kits Navigation icons that are used to
Change the numeric position of the drum kits on your list.
You can also Drag and Drop items from one slot to another instead.

Kits Navigation Icons

To add drum kits to your list, simply drag them from your kit bank to the desire
position. you can choose any numeric position you like.
The number of drum kits you can add is limited by the number that your module
supports. For example, TD-12 support 50 Drumkits while TD-6 Supports 99.
If you try to add a drumkit from a different module, you will receive an Error message Window.
TD Studio - Module Window with items

As you can see, each slot have a Status Column that inform you the status of the current kit. There are two available status, "Upload Wait..." and "Uploaded".
When an item is first dragged into the module window, he automaticlly receive an "Upload Wait..." status, because he is waiting to be uploaded to your module.
after you upload the Drum Kits, they all receive an "Uploaded" status, which turn their color to grey.

When you finish, you can either press the Upload button to upload the kits to
your module, or save them into a SYX file.

When you press the Upload button, a small Popup window will appear, asking you to choose which Drum Kits you want to Upload. Choosing the "Upload New" option will upload only the Drum Kits marked as "Upload Wait..." and will ignore Drum Kits marked as "Uploaded".
TD Studio - Uploading Options
Choosing "Upload All" will upload ALL the Drum Kits on your list. The last option is "Upload Selected" which will upload only the Drum Kits you highlight in this list. If nothing is highlighted, this option will be diabled.

When you select Drum Kits on your Module Window, you can Right-Click to receive a Popup Menu. the "Remove" option will remove the selected Drum Kits and will "Empty" the selected slots. you can also change the status of the selected Drum Kits to "Upload Wait..." or "Uploaded" by selected either

TD Studio - Right Click Popup Menu
"Mark for Upload" or "Mark as Uploaded".
Finally, you can upload only the selected Drum Kits by selecting the "Upload To Module" option. please note that the "Upload To Module" option will only upload items that are marked as "Upload Wait...". so if your selection is a Mix of "Upload Wait..." and "Uploaded" and you wish to upload ALL of the selected items, you must first "Mark for Upload" all the selected items, and then choose "Upload To Module".

Saving the Drum Kits on your Module Window to a SYX File is always available, while Uploading to your TD Module only available if you are connected to your module.

Last, but certintly not lease, the Message Window on the bottom part of the Module Window will report you on each action that
TD Studio - Uploading Options
was performed, and her result. This way you can track down problems and fix them.
